Join us for an optional BBQ dinner before the classroom teacher presentations! Meals are $10 each, with all proceeds going toward our new playground at W.O. Mitchell!

Each $10 meal includes your choice of:

• 🥤 Drink

A limited number of lettuce wraps as gluten-free bun alternatives and vegetarian hot dogs will be available. If you require one of these options, please pre-pay when ordering or arrive early, as quantities are limited.

To pre-purchase meals for your family, please send an e-transfer to womfundraising@gmail.com. Please include your oldest child’s name in the e-transfer notes so that meal tickets can be delivered to them at school.

🎁 Online Silent Auction

TOGETHER, WE CAN BUILD SOMETHING AMAZING!

Our Online Silent Auction is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year, helping us raise funds toward a new playground at W.O. Mitchell School.

We are collecting new and unused items, gift cards, gift baskets, services and experiences to create an exciting auction for our school and wider community. Every donation, big or small, helps bring us one step closer to our new playground!

We are looking for a wide variety of items and experiences, including:

• 🎟️ Amusement park, zoo, sporting or other event tickets
• 🎮 Electronics, toys and games
• ⚾ Sporting or camping items
• 🏆 Sports memorabilia
• 💳 Gift cards and gift certificates

• 💆 Services such as massage, landscaping, snow removal, window or house cleaning, legal services and more

Local businesses can also gain valuable exposure by having their business and donated item featured in our online auction, while supporting a project that will benefit W.O. Mitchell students and the surrounding community.

All donated items must be received by October 23rd so they can be catalogued, photographed and prepared for the online auction.

🎰 W.O. Mitchell Casino Fundraiser

Our casino fundraiser is one of the most significant fundraising opportunities available to our school community. W.O. Mitchell’s casino fundraisers typically raise more than $60,000, providing valuable funding to enhance the educational experiences and opportunities available to our students.

Casino proceeds can support a wide range of school initiatives, including artist and educational residencies, classroom and learning resources, technology, playground and school equipment, and other enrichment opportunities that directly benefit our students.

In Alberta, charitable casino events are part of the province’s charitable gaming program, which allows eligible organizations to raise funds to support their charitable programs and services.

🙋 We Need 40 Volunteers!

We are looking for 40 volunteers to help fill a variety of roles during our upcoming casino.

No previous casino experience is required, and volunteers do not need to have a security clearance. Training and direction will be provided for your assigned role.

Meals are provided, making this a great opportunity to spend some time with other W.O. Mitchell families while making a meaningful contribution to our school community.

Bring a friend and sign up together! You don’t need to know anything about working in a casino — we’ll help you get started.

Every volunteer helps make this important fundraiser possible, and the more families who participate, the more we can invest back into our students and school.
